Wednesday May.13. 2009

Finally got to studio and got the three paintings ready to ship. Off they went. Now I am home waiting for sister Shirl and Husband Al to arrive from Sunny Florida. They are up for a wedding and graduation and I hope some fun. These two keep us all smiling. Afraid I won't be painting much for awhile, but hope to get some good photos.
Just came across this acrylic I did for a couple in the South West. Almost done and then on its way. A artist must be a jack of all trades or should I say a Jill. ///////////

Well, I didn't get to the studio as planned. Now of course it is the weekend and Mothers Day coming up tomorrow. So I guess I won't be around for a couple of days. Am going to put painting I did for my Art Colony challenge on post. Just recieved word it has been sold. Having a hard time getting a new body of work together as it keeps moving out of my hands. My daughter Kate came for a visit today and she and my grandaughter went horseback riding all morning. I can tell you they were sore. Well I see you later hopefully from the studio on Monday.

Hello, today is my first post. Maybe I should say attempt at this crazy new world I am looking at. I am a artist and paint is my form of expression. Everything else comes second. I will give you a link to my Web site and tell you a little about my days at the studio. I used to paint six or seven hours a day, but now that I have retired from a show circut my time is my own to use as I wish. For example today I painted a painting in memory of my mother-in-law. Her name was Vera and she was a wacky wonderful woman. Her favorite flower was a pansy, and her is one I painted for her. First I will show you my basic painting, second the way it looks almost complete, and lastly the final piece with butterfly and dew drops.
